Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, its 242 spacious rooms, including 55 suites, have been remodeled to include a state-of-the-art bedside electronic control panel that controls temperature, lighting, telephones, and audio/visual systems.$45 million dollar renovation.
The 3,000 square foot Peninsula Suite has a gallery leading to a formal living room, formal dining room, a private living/dining area, and a master bedroom with bath, all for $5,500 per night.
All rooms feature mood lighting, hands-free telephones with automatic muting, and built-in, remote-controlled televisions that can be viewed from the tub in deluxe rooms and suites.
The Adrienne Restaurant, overlooking Fifth Avenue, is an exquisite setting for fine French cuisine; Le Bistro offers casual dining in an informal atmosphere, serving lunch, dinner, and cocktails. The Gotham Lounge is a classy atmosphere for cocktails, light snacks. For a dramatic view of the city skyline, try the Pen-Top Bar and Terrace.
There is also a sundeck which can be used to soak up a few rays during summer months.
